* Do you know what the DNS cache is?

Suggested article: DNS cache explained

DNS cache (DNS resolver cache) is a temporary storage of information about previous DNS lookups. Keeping a copy of a DNS lookup allows you to retrieve it quickly, and thus a website's URL can be resolved to its corresponding IP much more efficiently. The DNS resolver keeps the cached DNS records, depending on their TTL (Time-To-Live).

You can see your DNS cache with some easy commands on Windows, Linux, or macOS.

How to check my DNS cache?

You can flush the DNS cache if you want. Note that deleting the DNS cache might resolve problems with the domain resolution of a site or any other problem related to the outdated DNS records still in your cache. Cleaning the cache will also hide the list of the visited sites on a DNS level.
